recently purchased a $100 virtual gift card from BYLT Basics as a thoughtful gift for a friend. Unfortunately, the card was somehow compromised or stolen shortly after purchase, rendering it completely unusable. My friend attempted to redeem it multiple times but received errors indicating the balance had been depleted or the code invalidated.
I immediately reached out to BYLT customer support to report the issue and request assistance in rectifying it—either by reissuing the gift card, refunding the amount, or investigating what happened. Despite my efforts (multiple emails and attempts through their chat system), the response was inadequate and unhelpful. I received no meaningful investigation, no resolution, and essentially no accountability for what appears to be a security or processing failure on their end.
This is extremely disappointing for a company that markets premium products and charges full price for them. Spending $100 only to have the gift rendered worthless—and then receiving little to no support—feels like a complete disregard for customers. I've been left out of pocket with nothing to show for it, and my friend was unable to use the gift as intended.
